What’s in a Chinese Wedding Dress?
The traditional Chinese wedding dress has some differences as compared to its Western counterpart. Oftentimes, the dress itself is based upon the region that the bride’s family is from; for example, if the bride’s family is from the south, she may wear the Cheongsan. If she is from the north, she may wear the Qi Pao. There are also other examples from China where the styles of dress are based upon the region; for example, Taiwanese, Tibetan, or Mongolian are other styles. Many other groups also exist, but we won’t have time to go into them here.
