Xbox 360 For Free Scam or Not?
I am a xbox fanatic and I love everything there is about the xbox 360. So, while surfing the net I cam across a sure fire way (or at least I thought) to get an xbox 360 for free. At least that is what I thought was going to happen.
once I went to the site for the free xbox, I was asked to fill out a bunch of offers in order to qualify for the free xbox. Of course that means the xbox is not totally free, but I figured, what the heck, I would probability save some money, so I started filling some of the offers out.
There were actually some nice offers from some companies that I new of such as netflix which is a pretty big company that most people know. I filled out a few offers but I basically gave up after filling out a few offers.
Since then I have learned a bunch on internet marketing and affiliate marketing and what I realized is that the free xbox offer is basically just an incentive’s affiliate program. IN other words they are incentive you to fill out affiliate offers.
The jist of how the free xbox offer works is like this: Once a free xbox customers fills out an offer they get paid an affiliate commission . They know that only a certain percentage of people who start filling out the offers to get the free xbox will actually follow through all the way.
now that I know how it works I realize that it is not a bad little business to tell you the truth and probably very profitable for the person running the free xbox campaign. The only thing is that since this is a profitable business there are some scam artist out there that have started running there own free xbox campaigns. Some of those guys never ship the xbox even if you do fill out the offers.
So you have to be careful and make sure that you work with a reputable company and also make sure that you cancel any reoccurring billing on your credit card. Those are the type offers that you will have to fill out in order to get the so called free xbox.
I have found one company that will actually send you a free xbox if you fill out the offers and you can find them at my xbox blog in the resource section. Also any thing else you want to know about the xbox can be found there.
